Smoky Quartz and Sterling Silver Brooch

A gorgeous sterling silver brooch set with a large Smoky Quartz gemstone that is held securely by multiple claws, decorated with thistle heads and leaves. It is a robust construction, weighing 8.63g and measuring 2.5cm in width and height. The brooch has a strong safety roller catch and pin fastening. The makers mark is TE, the base of the brooch is hallmarked with the lion passant (confirming it to be 925 silver) and two other hallmarks that are too faint to read.
